There is widespread news that Brooks Koepka is on steroids.
Many people around the world are curious to know if he is really on steroids or just merely a misconception about him. However, there is certainly a close relationship between drugs and golf.
When people generally think about golf and drugs, one image jumps into the mind – Duts-in-the-nose Johnson. His lecherous casual involvement with Cocaine gives a lesson on how not to manage a PR scandal. PGA refueled many speculations as they neither denied nor confirmed the allegations.
Thereby, the PGA Tour may decide not to publish any information regarding cases indulged in Drugs of Abuse Violations.
Maria Sharapova was found taking Meldonium for the past 10 years, a drug that isn’t listed as a banned substance in the PGA Tour banned the substance. The Russian tennis player used this medication to improve her stamina and recovery, originally designed for patients suffering from chronic heart failure.
Gary Player, however, believes that about 50 to 60 percent of athletes in the world are using steroids or some kind of performance-enhancing drugs. Accordingly, it is now confirmed that its reach is extended to golf as well.
According to any governing body, Creatine, a supplement taken by almost every athlete to boost muscular power and stamina is definitely not regarded as a “performing enhancing drug”. The Black Knight though has confused his words a bit but surely has raised an interesting point. “Is there any truth that drugs feature in golf”?

Take Justin Thomas for example, he is one of the longest hitters on the tour and weighs 145 pounds. This clip of him showed that physical size and driving distance aren’t dependent on each other when he is burning 9-iron 200+ yards.
The same thing can be said for baseball even, a sport that is entirely dependent on technique and timing. But as the doping scandal was demonstrated, this enticement of extreme power and strength fed the hunger of many players.
I’m not at all saying that golf is too regarded the same in this aspect but this allure for a powerful physique could be for a golfer as well.
John Daly, the golfer claimed that the tour does not keep the drug tests under the wrap when it will take place, allowing dopers to protect themselves easily.
PGA Tour reacted by saying, “It’s not random, it is a big joke. The whole drug testing is a joke. And for all dopers – on the PGA Tour, you all know that you are getting tested for drugs, so all made it right! And I’m sick of it.”
PGA Tour’s Drug Handbook
When trawled through the complicated collections of compounds, proteins, modulators, hormones, brackets,s or molecular outlines that would all make up a chemist grimace, a few items were missing on the PGA Tour’s list.
In short, the PGA Tour is constantly working on the policy of not naming players. Secondly, we all know that there exists no steroid on the planet that would overcome the most important parts of golf – those treacherous, swinging six-footers.
With this, a slightly dumb saying would go like short hitter doesn’t look at Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, and Rory McIlroy and just make the groundless assumption that they need to pack on a bit of size to add some yards.
Koepka’s implausible win at the 100th PGA Championship gave him the quick third major title. This victory of his at Belleville clears that Koepka by now has four PGA Tour titles in his hands but sadly, only one has come at a non-major.
Though it’s a puzzling ratio he won’t surely complain about it. Brook tried to explain this on Sunday night in St.Louis. He said, “He is just very – he doesn’t want to say, maybe a different person when he shows up to the majors. He is very focused and disciplined too.”
The closest comparison to Brook Koepka in this category is Andy North. Andy North has the distinction of being a two-time US Open Champ even though he has won only one other time on the PGA Tour.
A winner of multiple majors, John Daly is the next closest competitor in the queue. An American player with three major titles, Larry Nelson is next similar.
On the contrary, plenty of golfers are also there with unfortunate wins-to-major ratios. In the list of recent stars, World No.1 and Koepka’s buddy Dustin Johnson tops the list with only one of his 19 PGA Tour titles coming in a major.
These guys are glad that they are at least not on the list of best players never to win a big one but what about Koepka?
Well, it’s pretty sure that with his game, he will soon start to pick a few smaller trophies at some point.
The Golfer, Brooks Koepka is slightly a workout warrior so this is how he maintains his such heavy weight of solid muscles.
He is so committed to working out that he even lifts weights in the morning of tournament outings. His girlfriend, Jena Sims, throws a joke that she hears from a fan saying that he more looks like a football player than a golfer.
As far as his workout routine is concerned, Koepka has reported a sample of what he might do in the gym.
Koepka told to reporters that, “On Sunday at the US Open he did 225 for 14 times.” He further added, “He knows that that’s not impressive but h can get 315. So, it’s absolutely right.
But as compared to a few guys you see when you go to a public gym, they have thrown up 350 and absolutely with no problem. And you’re just like, all right!”
Despite being given attention and personal care on the PGA Tour, it is not easy for an athlete to grab something quickly when they are on the go. Brooks Koepka understands it very well and so travels with a personal chef.
“He knows that this sounds weird but he travels with a chef. He looks healthy meals for him.” Koepka told sources.
Brooks explained that it’s very essential that a golfer must maintain a strike balance between strength and flexibility.
Koepka spends about 4 to 5 hours working on his body. According to him, any professional athlete has to take very good care of his body. Whenever anyone points out that he is becoming less flexible, he quickly turns out to gymnast.
To Koepka, his commitment to fitness is as much about being strong mentally as it has to be physically.
Seeing the family, it would of course not be wrong to say that the best athlete in the Brooks family might be not he.
Yes!!
Brooks was raised in a family that was already in love with sports. And this was for sure the first thing that drove him and his brother Chase Koepka to play golf.
Surprisingly enough, Brooks Koepka’s father ‘Bob Koepka’ used to play baseball. Moreover, Brooks’s mother Denise Jakows fought and survived breast cancer.
So, with all this, it is proved that the entire family was mostly into sports.
As per reports,
Brooks College contributed a lot in his huge golfer career.
The golf star attended Cardinal Newman High School and graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Here are the social profiles >> Twitter, Instagram
