A former rising WWE star, Matt Cappotelli, died after a long year battle with his Brain Cancer at the age of 38.
Cappotelli died at 3.30 am on Friday morning, exactly one year after his brain surgery, his wife, Lindsey mentioned in an Instagram post.

She shared her husband’s death news in a Facebook group which is dedicated to him.
She wrote, “Hey Team Capp… I have been struggling with what to say and how to say this, I will probably end up rambling, but here goes.
Lindsay Cappotelli wrote on Friday that, today her love her strong, sweet and beautiful love has taken his last breadth at 3.30 am. She further mentioned he went home to be with Jesus, and added that Matt had died exactly one year after his brain surgery.
Besides many of his achievements, he had accomplished his career, just being the co-winner of “WWE Tough Enough 3”, wrestling competition reality show in year 2003. That show shot Cappotelli to limelight and since there were no one looking back. From then onward he had started his training with full enthusiasm to rank up higher in wrestling.
The WWE starred Matt had a brain tumor almost 11 years ago where he was regularly concealed every year before he get starred in 3rd session of WWE’s Tough Enough reality show, Matt’s wife wrote in the blog.
He had played football at Western Michigan University, before he kicked off his career in wrestling.
WWE said that,
“In 2006, he was broken down by the brain cancer diagnosis. However, the brain cancer was treated after one year and get returned in 2017.”
Cappotelli friend and WWE Tough Enough III winner, John Morrison has tweeted recently that, Matt is one the best person he has ever known.
My first best friend in the wrestling business and to this day one of the best people I’ve ever known Matt Cappotelli has passed on. I’m gutted about this news. Matt inspired everyone around him especially me early in my career. He is loved and will be missed.

In February 2017, Matt had undergone an MRI, while in June in that year only he was suffering from the Seizure activity and headaches.
When matt and his wife went to the doctor they got a heart breaking news from the matt’s diagnosis.
Dr. Yao, the brain surgeon explained that the tumor was of notable size and he was shocked that how fast it has grown in just 4 months after Matt’s MRI in February.
On 29 June, 2017, Matt had undergone the surgery in which his surgeon was able to remove about 90% of the tumor, and thus results confirmed that he had grade 4 Glioblastoma.
Capotelli had a conversation with WWE.com in 2017 regarding his second burst with cancer. In spite troubling outlook, Matt continued to fight his illness publicly in hope that his story may help others in finding out their strength in order to keep fighting their battles too.
The statement said by the Matt Capotelli in 2017 that,
“Life is a precious gift which we are given, so, if he can inspire others not to give up in the life and they have been blessed to have such life. That is what he is trying to spread hope.”
